I was born in Italy and raised in the family bookshop, where I developed my passion for reading. After having graduated in foreign languages and literature in Rome, I moved to London, where I got a job as a bookseller at Foyles bookshop, one of London's most legendary place for book lovers...and it was an unforgettable working and life experience!
After London, I moved to Berlin, where I studied at the Humboldt University and obtained a Master degree in English studies. During the last year of my Master degree, I had the chance to intern at the Tate Gallery in the copyright department. In 2001, I settled in France where first I learnt the language (my fourth one !) and then I worked for ten years as a bookshop manager before finding my true passion : Foreign Rights. In 2015, I joined a literary agency and learnt copyright, contracts, negotiation of deals, networking and attended international book fairs in Frankfurt, London, Guadalajara and Seoul. It was such an invaluable experience that I have decided in 2019 to start my own agency.
I am so passionate about my job that I feel very grateful to be able to share everyday my passion alongside with so many enthusiastic publishers all over the world.
BooksAgent is a French literary agency specialized in fiction, non-fiction, children and teens' books. I represent the catalogues of ten publishers with a wide range of high-quality original titles, from novels, essays to picture books. I am in charge of selling domestic and international rights on behalf of the following publishing houses: Aux Forges de Vulcain, Emmanuelle Collas, La Ville Brûle, Anne Carrière, Othello, Espaces&Signes, l'Arbre vengeur, Alma éditions as well as the Canadian publishers Le Cheval d'août and Edito jeunesse.
Since 2020, I also represent authors and I work as a co-agent for France for the Italian agency Elastica.
My job is to sell domestic and international rights and to represent the business interests of my clients and their authors. Acting as intermediary between publishing houses, I find the right and the best publisher for each book.
